1990 SPG
I pulled into my hotel in Moab UT and noticed fluid under the car as I checked in. I thought that was odd because the A/C was off for over 45 minutes.
I later pulled out to go down the street and noticed a puddle under the car. It was clear and didn't smell. It didn't burn my skin the way brake fluid should.
We drove down the street about 3 buildings to a drive through (they roll up the sidewalks at 10PM here, it seems) and my AntiLock and Brake lights didn't go out. Well, the brakes quit working...
It appears to be dripping from the brake line on the rear axle. It doesn't look to be coming from a caliper. I *did* just replace the right rear caliper and short brake line, but those looked dry. I think the line on the axle ruptured, cracked, rusted, or similar.
I'm in Moab on a weekend and wanted to be in LA by monday. What can I do? Can any old garage just patch in a section of brake line and bleed it? Do I need a whole new brake line? Should I dump the SPG and get s honda civic and be done with it?
