In 1987 in Australia where everything is much more expensive except red gravel dust and sunshine rrp was around $42,000AUD so then on exchange rates it was about $18,000USD then our treasurer devalued the AUD to make it comparable to an Argentinian peso in 1988 so that it became about $21,000USD...we only had std convertibles avail. in auto or manual, with everything included like the heated leather seats (in australia we would have preferred the ‘cooled’ leather seats and there was no power seat option avail in the cnvrtble), std (no woodgrain) dash and 16v turbo...couldn't option it down or up really...in 1993 in WA you had to fit a immobiliser (bog basic cant steal but they knife your lid or prise off the badges) saab responded just prior to this potential electrical cannibalisation with a reasonably good factory alarm...i dont think (not here in the west have i ever seen one) could you get an spg or aero option on the convertible..thus we/i am keen as mustard to convert 'helga' to an aero clone...even though I don’t love the shape of the spg front spoiler…looks like a housebrick tacked to the front…sorry…anyhow my precious swedish lust-bucket of a girl deserves flashy skirts and nice set of heels...pity the owner can't afford it...wheels and body kit would now have to imported from usa...and the freight…might be cheaper for me to come visit and take it home in my hand luggage…no mr customs officer they are wheels for a car not some terrorists idea of a bomb…price now with full options is around $73,000 and i still dont like the new shape...sorry i can't help you out..
