So here I am stuck without an inspection sticker on my pristine 85 900T. Yep....they have lowered the limits by 50% since last year.....50 bloody percent...applicable to ALL cars up to 25 years of age....no sliding scale...no exeptions. NO... I'm wrong....my 1999 Land Rover IS exempt from the rolling road test cos it's 4WD. A tail pipe test is easy...the rolling road...forget it. So far I have logged 58 miles of testing and come sooooooo close to passing it's not funny. No...there's nothing wrong with the car....I have checked evry spec including the AMM resistance etc etc etc.... Unlike the Rover, my turbo does 28mpg, is fast, safe and a blast to drive. Thanks you New York for legislating my car off the road. Now we know you want all cars to be air filters for the Tri-State area, I understand I must wait another 7 years till my turbo is exempt...in the meantime...just don't park on the street.
I have been pulled over once for having no inspection and an expired registration...(which I cannot renew without an inspection sticker#)...when I showed the trooper all the inpection failure notices he just laughed and suggested I move north out of the Tri-State area where enhanced rules don't apply. Needless to say....no ticket...he liked my car!!!!! I do to....
