I'm driving in the country Saturday and I look over to my left and sitting-along with other assorted cars in various conditions- is a 1986 900s for sale for $375.00

Here's what I know so far:
167,000 miles on the vehicle
Body is straight, not a dent in sight.
Rust is not evident (still need to check out all rust prone areas)
Tires are excellent
Paint is excellent
Interior is perfect

And what I don't know yet (because I haven't met the owner in person)
Oil leaks
Trans problems (whine, popping out of gear, etc)
Engine problems?

I'm considering (if the drivetrain checks out) using the car for camping and for the 18 year old daughter to drive around.

Seems like a great price for the car. My only concern is that I'm currently driving a '90spg and I'm thinking I'll really miss the turbo performance. But what I also know is that I'd feel a little better knowing the daughter is not driving the turbo.
Would the 900s have good power for mountain driving?
What do you think? Good price? Good for camping? Good "new driver" car?
