eat tires. If anything neg camber gives better tire wear on a Saab driven hard. I'm running 2 degrees neg due to 2-1/2 inch drop in front. If you go back and check responses to similar ? before - excessive toe will wear tires. Basically the tires are not rolling free, with the front of the tires closer together than the back [ toe-in ] the tires are scrubbing against the road all the time. Due to the front suspension geometry, when you lower it without changing any adjustments you get more neg camber and more toe-in. You should be OK with up to 2 degrees neg camber, but you want your toe-in to be just a bit, 1/16 - 1/8 th inch. Castor - stock speck is 2 degrees for power steering. I'm at 2 degrees because with the cut SPG springs I'm running with no shims in one spot. I will have to raise the car to get less neg camber, or more caster. I'm doing this on a 99 but everythings just about the same. I'd get an alignment at a good shop and ask them for even camber side to side in the 1.5 to 2.0 degrees neg range, and caster at 2 to 2.5 degrees, and just a bit of toe-in. A good shop isn't necessarily the most expensive, it just takes someone who can work outside the book. I use a shop that caters to racers who run non spec alignments. Also we found that at the height my suspension is the weight of me in the drivers seat makes almost .5 degree of change in camber on one side - so we set camber with me in the seat as thats how the car runs 90% of the time. This alignment makes the car 'twitchy' to some, but I love the instant response - and the camber gives a great set in a corner that is very comfortable at speed and under power. Entry ramps become a blast and I slow down to the speed limit as I merge. If someone will explain how to add a picture to a post I'll send one of my front end running 225-45-45 hoosiers - it makes the camber very obvious. Post if you find that some ball joints are longer/shorter than others - they should all be the same.
