APC no longer working - does this affect richness?

Recently I found that my APC box was faulty and I was running base boost. In the interim, I decided to tighten my wastegate rod so as to temporarily help me gain back most of the performance I lost. Don't know how intertwined the LH 2.4 system and the APC system are, but it seems like ever since the APC box went bad, I ended up running very rich at moderate to high boost levels. So rich that the engine starts coughing. Tried leaning out the injectors by removing the 30lb/hr ones and reinstalling my original OEM 19 lb/hr ones, but have found similar symptoms. Does anyone have info on the APC/LH crosstalk which would explain why I am running so rich? Even tried the resistor mod on the AMM wire, but the mod doesn't seem to help the problem much either unless I go close to 1000 ohms. o2 sensor is switching and during boost events, goes way rich (to the end of the LED bar on my tester)
Thanks in advance.
