Not hard @ all! 2 hrs max Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Radiator Replacement, Alan, Tue, 23 Sep 2003 14:04:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Since you have a non-turbo model, you just saved 30-45min from removing/installing all the extra piping and intercooler. For replacement:
ONLY when car is COLD!
1- Remove Intake hose from airbox to intake manifold.
2- Remove lower radiator hose (coolant into a drain pan)
3- Remove top two screws holding the radiator onto the radiator support cross member (top of radiator)
4- Remove the distributor cap and rotor to gain clearance to slide the assembely out.
5- Remove the upper radiator hose at the radiator.
6- If needed, remove the coil.
7- Disconnect the fan electrical lines.
8- Tilt the top of the radiator back, and then slowly and carefully remove the entire assembely.
9- Lay it out flat on the ground, and remove the cooling fans.
The install is basiclly the same as removal. Although, you need to fill and BLEED the cooling system. When doing so, be SURE to set the heater valve to max heat.
Let me know if you have any other questions...
