I've bought four 900's since 01/2002; first one was a basic 900i -85, second one a bad buy (except for good parts) 900 T8 -83, the 3rd one was a -84 900 T8A Multi Coupe w. AC (a REAL rarity here in Finland) and the latest purchase is a Saab 900 T16 Aero -90.

Well..it surely is different. I mean, 175hp useable is really something. And adding new shocks, wheel alingment a.s.o. makes this car a really happy goer. I had the chance to test before buying and the first time I hammered the pedal to the medal did it to me, even with really worn-out shock absorbers. It is so nice to finaly drive something excating, it's 3-door, red with grey Aero-kit, black leather, no catalyst (car is from Italy = rust free) and has a long gearing gear-box. Of course I had to take out a car loan wich is silly for 13-year old car, but I am still happy. It still needs attention with cruise control and AC, and a car alarm and rust-proofing -> going to be expensive, but I guess it is the price you have to pay. Oh, and this is made in Finland, which at least for me, is nice to know :)

The difference aroses from better handling (10mm lower, good shock absorbers aso), full pressure turbo (175 hp) and of course, the looks. After all, the car under all this remains pretty much the same since 1979, but extras do make wonders :) If over 10 year old car could be a realistic choice for ones day-to-day transportation needs, I highly recommend it.
