Back in September I bought a 1995 900SE Convertible and have been driving it ever since. SO my 89 900s has sat in the driveway for the past month waiting for the Conv. to be put in storage for the winter and resume driving the 89 900s.
I used it about a week ago for an hour, took it to the gas station, drop of fuel, keep the brakes good, etc, etc. I went to start two days ago one morning (temp about 8-10 celsius) and the damm thing would not start. I noticed a very strong smell of gas from the exhaust so I pulled the plugs and they were very wet with gasoline. Battery was ran down in the process so I put the charger on it and tried to start a few hours later and it caught, ran real rough for a few minutes then was alright for the next few hours. I put new bosch plugs in it changed the oil the next morning and the car started OK, I used it for a few hours again and parked it. Went out this morning to use it and it would not start AGAIN. The same problem, plugs wet and strong smell of gas.
Does anyone have any ideas why this car is not starting - I need this for my winter vehicle as the 95 Convertible has to be put away very soon and I need to get this car going. (we use salt on the roads up this way and I do not want the conv. to be subjected to that)
Any suggestions please e-mail me or post here.
