Yeah, I am a new contributor to Saabnet. Anywho, I can't seem to figure out what my problem is at all. My buddy and his uncle (Saabpilot, Selectfire) have the Bentley manual. I have a Haynes, and it doesn't tell me anything useful about the APC. I disconnected the wires to the APC valve, and nothing changed. I disconnected the harness for the APC and nothing changed. I disconnected the wastegate vacuum port, and it was boosting like normal (10PSi before I ran out of room I was in a small parking lot) Is the APC actually needed? I know it keeps my engine from overboosting, but does it do anything else? I am thinking that if it does nothing other than control boost so I don't over boost...that I can bypass it and run a 'T' fitting in my BOV hose and connect a MBC to that and into the wastegate. Will this work? I believe Saabpilot did this for a couple of days by mistake...will this hurt the car in any way? All the help is appreciated since I am a newbie to Saab's. Thanks.
Thanks again,
Spoolin0nYou
