and find they corner and ride well. Trick of course is finding that size. One thing to remember is radical tire diameter differences will muck with the odometer/speedometer. The standard size of 185/65 adds 240.5mm to the wheel diameter (and while the odo/speedo run off the engine/tranny itself, the actual final drive gearing is determined by wheel diameters... larger diameters cover more ground per revolution). A 205/60 is a good 5.5mm taller than a 185/65 and while that seems trivial, it can add quite a few kms/miles to your speeding ticket. :)

Looking at tire circumfrences, a 185/65R15 is 1952.5mm and the 205/60R15 is 1969.8mm, if the wheel revolves 100,000 times in an hour, that 17mm difference adds up (17 kms in fact). Its probably revolving a lot more than that though. Anyone wanna do the math between final drive ratios from the gearbox/differential and the engine rpm? I don't have my manual handy to look up the figures.

My 205/55s add 225.5mm to the wheel diameter and that means whatever the speedometer says, I'm actually going slower, which is why I've cut down on speeding tickets the past year or so. ;)

Another advantage to the different casing heights of the tires is the 205/55 lowers the ground clearance about a centimeter and improves the look of the car, without mucking around with the springs/shocks.
