oil light on dash

Sinces reinstalling the transmission on my '88 S I've noticed that the oil light on the dash always comes on for 1-2 seconds after the car starts. The light then goes off and I never see it again while driving. Does this indicated that my oil pump is losing its prime while sitting? What else might cause this?
Should I worry about this?
