If you're a stickler for perfection, then despite whatever repairs are made you will consider this a damaged car. The damage you describe is not that much different than the 82T I bought in 1999 for $350. In fact, the damage was much more severe on my car with a buckled hood, mangled radiator housing and the right side bumper mount bent inward. I did the repairs myself by replacing the damaged parts, plus unbending whatever metal had been bent. To this day the hood sits just off center by maybe 1/8 of an inch, or 2 mm, and is only visible in the corners near the front doors. That suggests the entire front end was bent to one side on impact. The minor hood misalignment can be corrected with either pulling the entire front end back in position (clearly an art form best left to experts), or repositioning the hood mounting brackets. Other than that, there is no suspension misalignment or any other adverse effects or indication of it ever having been in an accident.
From the description you gave, your car was in a similar accident, perhaps even less than what mine experienced. I say go for the repairs.
