have you checked the Townsend/ Saabmaster site for his writeup on troubleshooting CC? He gives a very detailed explanation of how to check thru everything that is CC-related. On my '87900T, I had some obvious marginal hoses, but the main problem was a malfunctioning turn signal/ CC stalk switch that was easy to replace. Bentley also has a diagram to check correct operation of the switch. If you remove the lower dash, you can also look at voltages on the cruise ecu connector. FWIW, I was told the CC ECU hardly ever goes bad...
