Was a 5/8 wide chrome insert made by Dawn Enterprises, Part Number AB65050-R (part number for 50' roll)(http://www.dawn-ent.com)and distributed by Sportwing (http://www.sportwing.com)whose part number is MLD-AB65050-R for the 50' roll. It comes in 50' and 150' rolls. The 50' is enough to do about 2 cars worth and costs about $40 now. It is very durable and has lasted me over 4 years now. It is a little bit wider than the orginal and has a removable self adhesive back strip which I kept on for the installation...but myself and other folks on the site have installed it succesfully on our 85 900 classics. I believe it is also available in black. DonW did a nice job a couple of years ago (April 18, 2001) showing a web site link on how he installed it on his 85 900S.
