Wiring on the the 85's might be worse, but any old 900t is subject to insulation rot. You can replace bad sections and protect from heat and the elements. i don't think it's a show stopper. We have an 85 and a 90 and both have had some wiring rot.
Higher cost weak points are the transmission and the headgasket. If both have been replaced by reputable shops or meticulous diy'er, then you should be OK.
A/C rebuild can get pricey and they never "just need some freon."
Be prepared for lots of small item sorting, as others have mentioned. Suspension bushings, balljoints, steering racks, wheel bearings, enough to keep you busy, but nothing really overwhelming.
