No subframes - the suspension and engine are bolted directly to the unibody. At the time of the platform design, mid 1960s, that was the usual thing. Tall, soft "80" aspect ratio tires was also standard practice - "70" aspect ratio were considered wide. Remember too that 900T cars have stiffer suspensions than the "S" and "base" models. And SPGs are stiffer still.
Tires can make a big difference too. Ms. Jessica's C900 came with some no-name "T" rated crap that rode hard as concrete. With H-rated Nokian WR, in the same 195-60-15 size, the ride is much improved. Rembember too that worn out shocks will generally soften the impact harshness at the expense of some wheel bounce and poor body control.
