Here's what I have, my 93' 900T had a problem with the slave cyclinder leaking all over the place and not holding pressure. I parked the car in my driveway and bought the parts for the repair. I took most everything apart, and then realized SAAB calls for a special tool to press back and hold the fingers on the pressure plate in order to R&R the slave cylinder. I didn't have this tool, so the car sat in my driveway (apart) for about 2 months til I could devise a way to replace the slave cylinder without this 'special tool'. I finally figured a way around this tool, so I replaced the slave cylinder, pressurized the system, checked for leaks and everythins else. The clutch now works just fine again. Reinstalled the battery and the car simply cranks but wont start up. For the 2 months it was parked in my garage awaiting me to fix it, the front end was up on jack stands and I don't know if that adds to it not starting. I thought maybe the timing was off since I had removed the shaft that goes through the slave sylinder into the flywheel, so I removed the valve cover, check that the cams were zeroed out, removed that shaft, placed flywheel at zero to ensure the timing was now set at zero for both places. Put the valve cover back on, charge battery fully, and still the same thing. Alot of cranking but no starting. What could it be? I have the repair manual but I have no clue why it will not start, can anyone help?
By the way, I called the mechanic to have it towed to his shop to get it runnung, he said he can't help me cause nobody wants to work on SAAB's.
Thanks,
Phil
