The high octane will "pull" carbon from the deposits and carry it through the exhaust and the analyzer will read the extra NOx.
The lower octane will "pull" less carbon.
I do not know exactly how much more the NOx will read w/ 93 vs 89, but there will be a measureable difference.
I'd live to find someone with the equipment to run different scenarios on.
