Pull the pack out and change the position of the lever thingie.
Just pulled the spare out of the garage, it was open.
BTW - Why is the fuse labeled "Blower Motor" but the wiring diagram it is under "Ventilation Fan".
Make sure you have the yellow and violet (2 wires) on the top (150) of the air dist switch and the violet only on the bottom. Don't know if this problem can be casued by swaping them.
Pg 371-136/7 o' Bently shows that thermo switch. I think open is normal and closed causes the fuse to blow. So you "should" be able to bypass this function. If the fuse still blows, we can eliminate the resistor pack as the problem. If you have a clamp on type amp meter, you can monitor the current going to the fan.
put back to normal
Then, I think, we remove the leads going to the vent dist switch. Connect the GY to the VT/YE - this should bypass the vent dist switch.
I'd do this with the car off. Then w/ the fan on 1 turn the ignition on, try the 1-2-3 speeds on the fan switch - see if the fuse goes. This will eliminate the vent dist switch as the problem.
All that is left is the fan speed switch - so that "should" be the problem if we haven't found it yet.
Hope this helps
