Brian, I am in a similar situation. I don't recommend this, but I want to share what I am going to do (or have done). I've already bought the car and stored it away, awaiting for the DAY that I receive my masters degree. I was going to just drive home and ask for forgiveness. (How can she get mad at me at the time of celebrating my graduation?) So I've already committed the crime. Well I've finished my masters, but I still didn't drive home the car. Not because I was afraid of her wrath. Reason is, my car was snowed in! My friend's barn that I am storing the vehicle was under about 2ft of snow drift and couldn't get the door to open! And now with this snow storm, I gotta wait even more. Anyways, I've lost that opportunity, but I'm STILL going to drive home in my '87 SPG (tha) as soon as the snow melts. Yes, I am crazy enough to risk my marriage for an SPG. But then, my wife loves me for who I am... I hope. May be I'll bring it home for Valentines day...
Good Luck!
James
