I think a critical point is to remove parts rather than lift the engine to high and bend the shift linkage. When I replaced my passenger mount I lost fifth gear due to lifting the engine to high. I got fifth gear back after re-aligning my linkage.
The radiator doesn't take more than 30 minutes to remove, if you feel it is necessary.
Townsend has a front mount limiter mod using half a hose or like material. I did it to my car but can't confirm or deny any fantastic results.
