voltage drop/drain....

what areas have any of you found that cause voltage drop in an older 900?
i have heard headlights, clock, and a couple others. i have a new (< 1 yr old) 115 alt from a 9000. when i first start the car and it is cold, i have around 14.5 volts. however, as the car warms up, the voltage begins to fall. it will get down to 13.0 volts when completely warm and w/headlights on. if i hit the brake, it may even drop below.
it seems like something that is affected by heat is causing the voltage to drop. i'm pulling my hair our trying to find the issue. i'm alomost to the point where i am suspect of the wiring in the car and am ready to pull the harness apart and rewire. but before i go that drastic, i want to get a feel of what could be causing the problem.
btw, last year i went to ireland on business for a week and left my car in the garage at the airport. when i returned, the battery was dead. so something is definitely taking power just can't find it.
any thoughts?
thanks.
