(1) unplug/remove radio & equalizer, pull plug down thru equalizer opening. Either make your own harness adapter for new radio, or buy (Crutchfeld); easier if you remove front console, but not necessary; (2) use existing holes in firewall for gauge sensor leads--- 2 on driver's side where vac lines from cruise & boost already go thru, or 1 on pass side fender above vacuum reservoir where harness goes thru; (3) if you want a consistent look and a A/F, use Autometer. Other choices (no A/F, though) are VDO, or, if you really want to spend $$$, dual function SPA...; (4) gauge cover plate from SAS ($20) or original Saab (ebay).
