the ecu sees the sparl pulse from the coil and then energizes the fuel pump relay. check the relay. if you have spark you need to also check the turbo over boost cutoff switch. it cuts power to the fuel pump relay in overboost conditions and are known to cause problems. Also check the wiring in the loom in the fender in front of the driver door. water collects in the loom and degades the insulation. you may have some fried wires in there contributing to your problem.
