find one that's been driven and maintained. You'll have a much more pleasant experience. I have owned more 900's than I count on 2 hands and 2 9000's. On the other hand if the body is in decent shape, you may be able to find a good powertrain that has been removed from a rustbucket, for short money.
One other note: If you're going to get this car, and fix/maintain it, I would advise you to get a Bentley manual. It's like a Saab bible. They usually cost $40-50, but it's worth it's weight in gold.
