article that goes step by step thru this conversion and i dont think there's anything there that you missed...
only thing i can think of is your idea to check at the fuel filter. What if there is a problem with your fuel distributor?
Is this Dennis Sweeney still around? if so, might be worthwhile chasing him down. i know that article was written a long time ago...
by the way what did you do about the motor mounts - were you able to plunk the hydraulics in, or did you convert back to rubber?
