Re: dwell adjustment Posted by dan [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: dwell adjustment, dan ![]() |
just checked harness it was rerouted under the passenger kickplate near the passenger door, it actually looks new. followed the harness to the firewall into the right area near the vacuum bottle there it crosses to the fuse box. all wiring looks good, cut off the plastic tubing holding the wires. and yes regardless of how low or high I adjust co the digital meter reads only 16-17 degrees of dwell. but the voltage out of the o2 sensor fluctuates along with the manual adjust of the co. if i unplug the frequency valve the car dies.my fuel pressure gauge bit it, i have that cis kit from jc whitney on order, hope it will arrive soon, I haven't done that mod for the M84 yet i did jumper that black top because the car would idle like shit swing high then low. idles like shit when in open loop, vacuum around 8". i think the warmup regulator is pooched, i am going to do the full treatment as far as testing of things this week. so far, i have hooked up a vacuum/pressure gage off the boost gauge and have 18" of vacuum on warm idle and boosting to 8 psi+- under load, real nice, would like to tweak more. 14+- volts to battery constant with reving. new-used therm switch, cold start valve not leaking or spraying continously, new fuel and prime pump and filter, ignition module, coil, wires, plugs, cap rotor, distributor, turbo, starter, aav, flow plate adjusted to spec, tweaked and retweaked. I still haven't figured out this initial problem. either way, i will post what i did to fix the problem when i figure it out. any other ideas?
