I tried searching for the info below on this site but couldn't find anything on lubrication oil for spark plugs.
I'm newbie doing a tuneup on my saab. never changed plugs myself before...
Manual says to lubricate threads on new plugs when installing, I guess so their easier to get out. But it doesn't say with what. I've got WD40 or motor oil, will either work to lubricate the plugs? Sorry for dumb questions. Just making sure.
steve
Also, do you guys always gap the plugs yourself even if they are supposed to be pre-gapped? Was going to buy a gapper but friend said they are gapped from the box, also parts store said same thing. Can it ruin anything if gapped wrong from box? thanks
