Motor oil works fine

I think the Bentley manual even specs motor oil on the plugs, but as Micah said, a little dab of anti-seize is made for the task. I used the copper-based stuff last time, but I'll probably alternate between this & motor oil. WD-40 will completely evaporate by the end of your first drive, so there's not much point in using it in this application.
And as both guys have already said, do NOT rely on the plugs being pre-gapped correctly. There's absolutely no point to intalling new plugs if they're gapped wrong.
Plug torque is 18-20 ft/lbs, so don't over-tighten 'em.
