Usually when I've experience wandering, it is a bad tierod end or balljoints. But on my son's car we had similiar symptoms with bad rear control rod bushings and a loose panhard rod. So check all the rear suspension items, too.
Make sure your front axle nuts are tight. If you find them loose and they have been loose for any amount of time, you will likely have a bad wheel bearing and possibly a bad hub shaft if the hub shaft got to spinning in the bearing race. Loose axle nuts can give you funny clicking noises. Probably not loose sug bolts, but they can produce clicking noises similar to bad CVjoint.
