If the flashers won't come on, you've probably got a bad battery cable.
Check the connections at the battery. If that doesn't work,
Use jumper cables, ground to ground, find the window fuse, pull it, and feed positin\ve directly into that circuit.
It the alt was putting out 14 volts, the problem is NOT the alternator.
