That clutch design can slip because of accumulated oil, which finds it's way there from either the compressor seal or the main engine pulley. If you look at your compressor you will see that just behind the clutch is a cover plate bolted onto the compressor with some ten (could be twelve) 10mm bolts. That seal is known to leak and the compressor oil can seep out and attach itself to the clutch. Also, any engine oil leak will find it's way to the bottom back end of the engine, then blown against the pulley and spun upward, finding it's way onto both the compressor clutch and the bottom of the hood. To clean the clutch is a matter of spraying a solvent on it's surface and into it's internal spaces. You'll have to use a lot to be effective. You can then also slip a thin towel or cleaning rag in between the clutch and compressor pulley surface for additional cleaning. Consider that as you flush the clutch with solvent, that oil soaked solvent will drip down onto the lower pulley and belts, so it's best to position a rag on top of the lower pulley to absorb that potential mess.
