1985 900 4-door 8-valve non-turbo
I have the same rust problem in the passenger footwell! For a year I've warned my friends not to step heavily on the hole. I should look into fixing it.
I also have some frame rust problems, but I've been driving it since March 2003 and it hasn't split in half, yet.
I bought mine for $500. The body may not be in the best condition, but the engine seems to have been well maintained. I haven't tried to tackle the rust, but this summer I think I should. At the same time, I've been wondering if it would be better to just drive it until it's beyond repair while saving up money for a rust-free one.
