The first thing I would do is clean out the throttle body with some carb spray and a toothbrush. Pay particular attention to any build up where the butterfly meets the bore. Scrub the butterfly plate, too.

Remove the AIC valve(over near the bleeder screw/thermostat) by unplugging the electrical connector, the two hoses and udoing the clamp. Spray the shutter with carb spray until it's shiny and flops freely and then give it a shot of wd-40.

Finally make sure the throttle position switch clicks just off idle.

If that doesn't solve the problem, check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2 on the switch at idle.

Finally, check for vacuum leaks. A small propane torch is helpful. With the engine idling, direct propane all around the intake and at all hoses. When idle increases, you have found the leak(s).
