You really should get a Bentley manual if you're going to work on the car.
The air vents are part of the dash insert. There are 4 long screws that hold the dash insert to the dash. The screws extend up vertically from the bottom of the dash. Either phillips or torx head depending on the year. The right-most screw is inside the ash tray mount. The back of the dash insert has tabs with holes & tubes that the screws fit through. Many cars have had the tabs broken during stereo installs. There's a fair amount of wiring back there (think rats nest) as well as heater controls. You've got to unplug the 4 switches under the heater control, the headlight switch, dimmer control, foglight switch (I'm probably forgetting something) The dash lights are little bulbs on the end of wires, and fit in slots on back of the dash insert. Those are also tricky to get back in place.
Once you've had it apart a couple of times it gets easier, but there's a lot going on back there. Take your time and don't force it.
