John, I also have replaced several hose sets on 900's I own. As you're aware, it is always the crimp seals that fail. A while back, somebody posted about using JB Weld on these crimps, saying they didn't care about how it looked. I remembered that, and recently did just that.the low side crimp was so bad you could almost blow on it to make it spin. I used not JB Weld, but one of those weld stick epoxies. I also got all the other remaining crimps as well. It has been several months, and no problems at all. For $5, I'll live with the look. Last year, I had the domino broken fitting scenario ruining a six month old condensor with $325 in parts alone, and doing all the AC work myself. They both cool the same. That JB Weld posting was one of the best tips I've gotten on this 900 board! I bet those repaired ones will outlast the new ones (until they get the same treatment). Try it next time, you'll be sold.
