Congrat's on your purchase! We were all once newbie's to this site, so bring on all the questions that you can, someone has an answer. You do realize that these cars use motor oil in the engine and transmission. Go ahead and have your tranny fluid changed right away, this way you can stay on top from this point on. Flush and fill your engine block and radiator with Mercedes-Benz coolant. Use a lower temp. fan switch, and thermostat, (82 degrees). Check out the Townsend Site for more info on this. Trust me, I've already been through the new headgasket nightmare (3 months at the SAAB dealer) so do yourself an early and cost preventative favor. I live in Miami and wish that I'd learned about using MB coolant and lower temp. switches earlier, it would have been beneficial.
These are very fun cars to drive, especially convertibles!
