Brakes; sounds like you need a new master cylinder, maybe just bleeding.
Cost $50-$500, depending on new/used parts and whether you are DIYer
Top;figure on replacing, but can be patcher in short term.
Cost$300-$1200, low end if you buy a good new top on Ebay and DIY, top end if you pay to have it done
Boost; you're just getting base boost. Could be as simple as solenoid or bad vac hoses, or could mean a bad APC controller.
Cost $5-$500, again, used vs new parts and whether you need to pay for labor.
Rust; If it's only the doors, don't worry, be happy. They're the easiest rust area to replace.
Cost $100/door used, plus paint work
The 5-speed is a plus, as most CVs were automatics.
Like all Saabs with this sort of age/miles, plan on $500-$1000 worth of other repairs over the first year if you want reliable transportation.
I live in SW Minnesota, and have had an 87 CVT for my year-around daily driver for the last 5 years. The only CV to own in Minnesota.
If you're a DIY guy/gal, try to get the price down by $500-1000, and go for it. If you can't work on it yourself, this car will cost you ALOT of money to get back into shape.
