The front rotors and calipers are identical on both cars.
Actually, the parts off the donor car are in much better shape: so much so that I've considered swaping the entire spindle with shaft, brakes and all intact as an assembly. I've already completely disassembled, blasted, painted, and rebushed the entire front suspension, so it's not really any more work at this point. That should also eliminate any shaft length incompatability problems.(86/87 or 5sp/auto)
I was really wanting to know if the booster mounting configuration was the same on both cars; in which case I'd take the booster and master together. The fluid feed lines out of the master may need a tweek, but appear as though they'll basicaly line up OK. (And rebuilt booster=$200++ vs. swap=free)
This 5-speed swap is something I've wanted to do for some time and I know I'll enjoy it once complete; but man it's a boatload of work.
Thanks,
Keith
