If he say that a broken Oxygen sensor create a no start problem he have no clue.
If your car have a running problem like hesitation or alike, then he might be right.
It is also Bosch universal Oxygen sensors out there for a fraction of the cost of Saab original but you can't force a shop to install it if their policy is to use only Saab original parts.
If he uses 2 hours to find a bad Oxygen sensor and then charge another 1.5 to replace it, that's also a sign that he is not a good mechanic.
