clutch pedal goes to floor

Hi,
The clutch pedal on my 1984 900 S is going to the floor sometimes without any effect. It feels like there's no friction. Eventually car stalls due to clutch still not "releasing" (disengaging? engaging?). A few pumps might make it better, but it's just sitting in front of my house not. It's been gradually getting worse the last few days (first noticed over the weekend, 3 - 4 days ago).
Fluid is fine, never loses any. Local indy Saab mechanic might have said clutch pedal was getting worn after he replaced slave cylinder in clutch and said rest of clutch is good. This was about three months ago, so I doubt it's the clutch. When it's working, it grabs very well, no slipping...in fact it's sometimes hard not so spin the front tires when accelerating after stop.
(It has a turbo transmission, so more torque??? Seems like it after my old '84 900 S. This one is much faster off the line, for what it's worth, and through all gears. The engine revs a little higher at 75mph, for example, than the old one -- 3200 rpm vs. 3000 rpm.)
Could the problem desicribed above be the worn clutch pedal?
Thanks for any info!
