Sometimes the exhaust system shifts and the out-of-center catalytic convertor rubs against the heat shield. The main downpipe clamp/bracket is most often the cause for the shifting. That's the bracket that attaches to the transmission. The easiest fix is to tighten the clamp bolts if they're loose. The more involved fix is to loosen both the clamp as well as the turbo elbow to downpipe bolts. Tighten the clamp so the exhaust pipe is snug, but so you can still shift it. Then adjust the exhaust system so the catalytic convertor is centered inside the heat shield. Then snug up the elbow/pipe bolts, then fully tighten the clamp bolts and torque down the elbow bolts. Before I replaced my turbo exhaust system, the old piping was so warped from previous owner mis-use and abuse I had to bend the pipe clamp bracket outward to properly center the catalytic convertor.
