I recently listed my '89 900t (with much regret) on eBay with a very high reserve, just to see if I could send it... I ended up deciding not to sell the car, because Im a SAABfreak like most of us here. But I let eBay run its course, (I was going to end the auction if it got too close). Any ways it only went up to $1352. Maybe (probably) its because I told some bidders that I was planning on keeping it. Anyways I will finally get to the point. about a year and a half I bought an'88 spg here in syracuse very cheap ($750). But after driving it for a month or so I began to really notice how rusty it was etc.. then one day I blew the brake line (the one that runs through the frame) and took it off the road. So after it sat for a while I decided to see if I could sell it on eBay. I was 100% honest saying that it was at best a parts car.. none the less I got $1325 for it. I think i set the reserve at like $500 because I new it would never pass inspection. granted it was an spg and the engine, wheels, and molding might have been worth it.. But I almost felt bad accepting that much for it.. The was from NYC so he probably swapped it with a stolen car or something...
so I guess you never know.. Just be careful out there if you don't know very much about cars, especially on ebay.
