Thank you for your comments RS, actually, I'm driving the car but not full time right now. For an old grey mare she handles really nice and has quite a bit of pep for a 4dr. I ordered a can of AeroKroil today plus a gallon of Kreen(a motorhead acquaintence of mine swears by this stuff).
As for the reverse problem, I'm afraid it's more than the reverse mod problem will fix(I was all over Townsends right after I got my 900, plus Twinsaabs). When I put it in reverse and hold it in there's a somewhat violent clunking & thunking going on, you can feel the gear grab, then the thunking clunking, then grab again. The car moves, but it will sometimes stop short and lunge forward slightly. I may get up the courage to remove the side plate or rear plate this weekend since I want to drain & replace fluid anyway, I don't know if the short reverse gear shaft is visible from this vantage point, I want to put it in reverse while I have it in the air and just manually work the wheels to see & hear what's going on. I'm hoping it can be fixed w/o a rebuild.
