OK, base boost is normal and boost is normal for an unmodified APC box. That's good.
The best thing to do right now is get a good vacuum/boost gauge so you can really see what the base boost is. I don't give the boost gauge in the car much credit for delivering good, reliable numbers, even with the consideration that there are no numbers on the thing. You can get a good vacuum/pressure gauge from McMaster-Carr for $10 or $15. That will make setting base boost a lot more accurate.
