That's very difficult to answer since I use the term "just about right" when it comes to tightening many of the standard bolts all over the cars.
My feel of "just about right" in this case is as hard as I dare without breaking the stud or stripping the threads in cylinder head.
By using standard torque setting it will be too loose and the stud will work its way out because of all the heat cycles.
I have a special stud tool that screw onto the stud and than clamp down on it allowing me to use lots of force without damaging the outer set of threads.
I don't know, maybe I'm up around the 25-30 lbf-ft when installing them. It's just a feel I have developed through the years, and that's why I use OEM quality studs.
