you need a deepwell socket and some leverage. in the car has difficult angles. gorper of course has a night job as superman so ignore him unless you WANT to take the elbow off. which may happen anyway. the o2 sockets cannot pass the torque. as i recall i used vise grips to prevent deformation AND had to grind the socket to fit the too tight relief. best bet is to pull the elbow. or... get a deepwell 1/2 drive socket along with the o2 socket for install. cut the wires and have at it. installation requires some good anti-sieze. i think copper coat (NOT the gasket sealer) is recommended. be scrupulously careful about not getting grease on the sensor.
this tape will self destruct in 3 seconds.
