Cameron,
I replaced the Clarion with a Sony CD unit a while back, and it sounded a good deal better. When someone helped themselves to it, I replaced with a Panasonic cd/mp3/wma deck and it sounds far better than the sony, and even more so than the original Clarion - as much as I like to keep things stock, I just don't think the Clarion's worth keeping around. Compared to some of the ridiculous stylings of head units these days, the Panasonic is quite low key, and has a metalic black finish that's something of a very dark grey; it looks nice in the dash. Having MP3 capability is great, but WMA is even better as it packs quite a bit more on a disk, still with good quality - it's like having a 20 disc changer as you can fit about 20 discs on one CD-R. Anyway, you might want to take a look at it. -Brian
