I've gotten them out with the windows fully up.
Unbolt the regulator completely. Rotate it forward enough to get the rear window roller out of the regulator track. It'll take some fineggling to tet it in the right position to get both the window and regulator in the position to get the other roller out of the track, but it's doable.
Rotate the window enough to remove it. Then you can rotate the regulator enough to get it through the opening in the inside of the door. You may have to gingerly guide the top regulator channel up through the window slit to position it for removal through the opening on the inside of the door.
Before you remove it, you may want to try using penetrating oil on the regulator joints to loosen them up, then use something like Superlube to give them some more permanent lubrication. I also give the sector gear (for lack of a better word) some lithium grease where it shows an arc of wear.
